TREND Unit is Youth Ki Awaaz's cultural research and evidence-building programme. We are building tools that can help young Indians make sense of their own time, through an unorthodox mix of research methods to conduct polls, analysing citizen discourse, and narrative-making. The questions, data, and insights we produce are commons. We think of it as a commons of curiosity.
A WhatsApp-based civic polling infrastructure. Over 12,000 young Indians have signed up to share their perspectives on health, education, careers, relationships, cities, environment, and futures. Yoot collects the cultural data.
Learn more → DiscourseA discourse analysis framework that studies 18 years of citizen writing on Youth Ki Awaaz. Tracks argument frames, shifts in opinion, language patterns, and cultural stress points across 12,000+ articles — following how young people themselves work through social and cultural questions.
Explore CHORUS →A living archive of 500+ questions we asked young India — mapped, clustered, and visualised. Each dot is a question. Each question is a flicker of curiosity.
